You’re hired: Luther Town Board could fill several empty positions

Another night, another meeting in Luther. It’s how it goes the second week of the month.

The Luther Town Board and the Luther Public Works Authority meet tonight.

  • Trustee Cecilia Taft has an item about posting the town’s bank balance on an open agenda.
  • Town Trustees will talk through how to shut down Main Street for special events, particularly for the activities of May 7, 2016 for Alumni Weekend. That Saturday will feature a parade and street vendors.
  • There will be talk about having a town-wide Garage Sale.
  • The board will go into executive session to possibly interview or hire a number of positions: office manager, town clerk/treasurer (elected), code enforcement office and animal control officer.

 

And public comments will be accepted – if commenters stick to an agenda item and keep it under two minutes.

In accordance with the Open Meeting Act, Section 311, The Town of Luther, County of Oklahoma, 119 S. Main Street, hereby calls a Regular Meeting of the Luther Board of Trustee’s on Tuesday, April 12th, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at The Luther Community Building, 18120 E Hogback Rd, Luther, OK 73054

  • Public Comments: Must sign up with the Town Clerk. Each speaker is limited to 2 minutes with a 15 min maximum per item. Comment must be regarding an agenda item. Any other questions or concerns can be left with the Town Clerk.
