It’s a Thursday night light situation at Wilson Field this week.
The Lions take on Christian Heritage Academy at 7pm. But the action begins well before that when radio station, The Twister (101.9 fm), comes out to treat Lion Country to its weekly Tailgate Party. Luther beat Little Axe, NE High School (OKC) and Yukon in an online vote for the honor.
Luther’s own DJ Shorty B will be in the mix with Buff from The Twister for games and food and fun beginning at 4pm.
Speaking of DJ Shorty B, aka Joshua Smith with OPUS Entertainment, he presented a check to the Luther Town Trustees last night after his recent Foam Party fund-raiser to benefit the Fire Department. The check in excess of $200 was collected from donations from the fun event at Wildhorse Park.
After the Tailgate party, it’ll be Lion action in pink, as the players and crowd will wear pink for Breast Cancer awareness. The Little League Lions also will be recognized.
The action begins at 4pm at Wilson Field Thursday. Game is at 7pm.
