On Tuesday, NewsOK.com released the 2A-1 All District softball team, and the Lady Lions represented Luther well.
Sophomore Kacie Bolner and Junior Kennedy Cox were selected as second team utility players.
During the majority of the Fall season, Bolner played short stop. Her amazing game against Tonkawa proves she deserved a spot, with field work and hitting five bunts that got her on base each time.
Cox played catcher for most of the Lions’ games, and her hitting throughout the season led to many runs and RBIs.
Several lady Lions also were selected as honorable mentions: senior shortstop Sydney Jones; freshman Gracie Tytenicz, who played third and pitched; and sophomore Hannah Trenary, who played at first base and also pitched.
