LUTHER, OK — The Luther Fire Department has been working around the clock to keep our community safe, often catching sleep on station floors and spending long hours in their trucks. Now, it’s our turn to step up and show our appreciation!
Join us this Sunday, March 23, at 10:30 a.m. for the Scrub and Shine Party at the Luther Fire Department. We’re calling on community members to roll up their sleeves and help clean fire trucks, tidy the station, and give our local heroes a well-deserved refresh.
What We’ll Be Doing:
- Blowing out and vacuuming the fire trucks
- Cleaning windows, shining equipment, and scrubbing surfaces
- Tidying up the firehouse, including floors and bathrooms (if we have enough volunteers!)
What to Bring:
- Cleaning supplies like rags, sponges, scrub brushes, and window cleaner
- Soap (preferably Dawn Dish Soap – safe for ducks and trucks!)
- A heart for service and a little elbow grease!
Due to safety precautions, volunteers should be 12 years or older, as we’ll be working around large equipment.
Support Beyond Cleaning:
While we scrub and shine, we’ll also be raising donations for the fire department to help secure critical equipment and supplies.
Join us for this family-friendly, hands-on way to give back. Let’s show our appreciation and make our firehouse sparkle! See you Sunday at 10:30 a.m.!
