Carter Sampson Appearing on the BancFirst Pecan Fest Stage

Mossy's Milk Soapery

Thank you to Banc First Luther for sponsoring the Luther Pecan Festival Stage, Dec. 3 -4, 2021, at the Couch Pecan Orchard. The hub of the festival, the stage is where you’ll find live music, fitness demos from Studio 107 J’s Place and a Friday Happy Hour Show featuring special guest interviews. It all happens on the stage that you’ll find in the orchard, encircled by the tents and booths featuring the best artists, vendors and pecan pies this side of the Deep Fork River.

We have ourselves a festival, folks! Luther Pecan Festival is Dec. 3 – 4.

We are excited to present featured artists Carter Sampson and Noah Engh on the stage Saturday afternoon. Opus Entertainment will again provide all of the staging and sound. (We make a good team, Opus and PFest!).

Carter Sampson is an Oklahoman and an award-winning musician and songwriter. She is the founder and director of The Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls OKC, a nonprofit volunteer organization that empowers girls through music education.

While “Queen of Oklahoman” and “Wild Ride” are some of her popular tunes, my personal favorite was released back when we were in full “shelter-in-place” mode and the events we love – concerts, graduations, festivals, parties and sports seasons – were abruptly and crushingly canceled. The song “There’s Always Next Year,” summed up the disappointment of 2020. The song gives into the lament but gives hope.

Noah Engh is now an Oklahoman musician. He departed California and the Hollywood hustle, to raise his family here. Smart guy. Luckily, he brought his talent and soul with him. You’ve seen him on festival stages, events, and the cool bars and spots that have welcomed back live music after the pandemic pause. We are fired up he agreed to add Luther Pecan Fest to his schedule.

On Friday at Noon, Breanne from Luther’s new workout venue, Studio 107 J’s Place will demo her popular cardio drumming class. Join her casually, or work up a sweat if you want. It’ll be a fun time – a little workout to give us a boost to continue shopping in the orchard. Remember, we have no “supply chain” shortages at this event. All of our fantastic vendors will have unique treasures made from their hearts and hands. You are going to take care of that gift list, and maybe treat yourself. Beautiful paintings, photographs, jewelry, skincare, candles, tea towels, foodie foods, COUCH PECANS, t-shirts and more. It’s very exciting.

There’s more to come on the stage both Friday and Saturday. Watch for announcements and we’ll see you soon.

NEW THIS YEAR | After Fest Dance featuring Wagon Wheel

One of the great things about organizing an event like the Luther Pecan Festival is seeing others get in on the fun! We expect all businesses in Luther to be busy Pecan Fest weekend, and hope visitors will check out what our town has to offer. This is a good time to give a shout-out to all of the sponsors who believe in Luther and the pecan festival by investing in the event. To keep the fun going after the sun sets on Luther Pecan Fest 2021, the Wagon Wheel Band is going to fire up across town for a dance. Only $5 admission at the Community Center.

If you’re still reading, THANK YOU! Check out my Spotify list for Luther Pecan Festival, 2021. You can bet this list is playing in the background whenever I’m working on the festival or writing for The Luther Register. Featured are tunes from artists coming to this year’s LPF, and artists who’ve performed previously like the fabulous Kyle Reid, Jacob Fuqua and Brooding. Other songs are from my current fave soundtracks (Hello Ted Lasso) and Christmas music. It’s an open playlist, so please add to it! Enjoy. See you soon, in the orchard.
