“It’s a lot of fun when you have matchups like this,” said Luther Lions Head Football Coach Shawn Meek in this week’s edition of Mitchell Talks Luther Lions Podcast.
The undefeated Lions and fans head north to Perry Friday night for the matchup against the Maroons. Meek said his team has bought into the term “good,” whether the weather is rainy or pleasant. “We don’t focus on things we can’t control like five inches of rain.”

Meek said Perry’s coach is a college friend and thinks the game will be a great matchup as both teams march toward the playoffs, one game at a time.
“It’s a lot of fun when you have matchups like this. Perry is a great time. Their kids are well-prepared. They are great football team; and I think we are too.”
