Luther 4H Team Earn Cupcake Prize

Luther 🍀4-H🍀members Angela Miller, Lilly Story, and Jaelyn Jones participated in the Cupcake Wars competition at the Oklahoma State Fair. The trio had minimal experience in cake decorating, but had some mentoring by local cake decorator Lisa Boydston who inspired them to enter the competition and improve their skills. They worked hard, and in a few short weeks improved their skills tremendously. In addition to cake decorating, members demonstrated knowledge in food safety, nutrition, and public speaking. A verbal presentation was required as part of the contest. Hard work pays off! The team earned a third place prize.
