The number one ranked Dale soared past the Luther Lady Lions on the team’s first road game of the year. The team lost 70-43 against the Pirates.
Senior Caitlin Bailey led the Lady Lions in points for the second week, with 15 on Tuesday on the Pirate’s court. Four of Bailey’s points resulted from steals she turned into goals. On her third steal, she was fouled and tossed in one more point on her frees.
Junior Raychel Stanfield had nine points, including two three-pointers. Freshman Shawntae Silva rounded out the top three Lady Lion scorers with eight points. Senior Lauren Coates tossed in four points before fouling out in the third.
The Lady Lions are headed to Talihina for the CNIT tournament Thursday through Saturday.
