The Luther High School Cross Country Team is going to State. After a great run all season, the five-member team was among ten Class 3A teams that traveled to Enid Saturday for the Regional meet. All but three of those teams would get to culminate their season with a chance to be state champions.

Luther finished the 5K in sixth place, giving them the State bid that was denied the team last season.

- Senior Jay Cross was the first Lion finisher, medaling in the top 15 with an 18:51 time.
- Wil Mohr finished next at 19th place. His time, 19:14, was only 15 seconds away from being a top 15 finish.
- Chris Casio finished 23rd with a 19:43 time.
- Collin Garrett and Carson Easley finished 52nd and 67th respectively, Garrett’s time 20:48, Easley’s 22:23.

The State Meet is Saturday, October 20 in Shawnee at Oklahoma Baptist University, a course the LIONS ran just a couple of weeks ago.
