Lady Lions Softball in Crescent

Another road trip game Thursday

The Lady Lions got the first run in the game against Crescent in their first road trip game of the week Tuesday. Turns out that would be their only run before the fifth inning run rule.

Hannah Trenary earned that run, scoring after Kennedy Cox smacked a double.

The Lions picked up their defense in the third inning. Gracie Tytenicz fielded a grounder for the first out. Then Ashley Gould made great work of a pop fly in right field. Kacie Bolner stopped a grounder for the third out.

The fourth inning saw Sarah Bolner catch a pop fly at pitcher. It also saw an amazing double play in which Tytenicz fielded a grounder to throw to Trenary for an out  at first base, and Trenary threw home to Cox for an out at home.

Unfortunately for the Lions, the play was called back on catcher interference. Final score was 17 – 1. The Lions will play a makeup doubleheader at Crossings Christian School in Oklahoma City Thursday.
