‘Tis the season to celebrate the holidays in Luther, OK. Several special events are offered to the community to enjoy beginning this weekend.
The Orchard on 66 will debut its “Christmas at the Orchard on 66” this weekend. The Christmas event at the pecan orchard will continue on Saturday and Sunday from 4 pm to 9 pm through December 21.

Bring the kids and celebrate Christmas at the farm! Games, shows, crafts, and interactive activities, all covered in lights and in the theme of everyone’s favorite holiday. Enjoy coffee, hot chocolate, and s’mores by the fire and get family photos with Santa! Here’s the link to buy your tickets.
In addition, pecan sales are well underway at 19505 Luther Road, Luther, OK. They’re open daily until sold out. Pecans, as we know, are not just for pie! Enjoy heart-healthy pecans as a snack, in granola mix, as salad or oatmeal toppings, or in any of your favorite ways to eat them. The shop also has pecan-themed gift baskets. Pro tip: seal your pecans in freezer bags, and they’ll stay fresh for you to use until next year’s harvest.
A Christmas to Remember
The Luther Parks Commission’s annual Christmas on Main event is at 6 pm on December 5, on Main Street, with carriage rides, games, and a fundraiser for Friends of the Park to continue their work to improve our parks.
If a stage production is more your vibe, opening night of the original play “A Christmas to Remember” is also December 5 at 7 pm at the Lavern Veasy Performing Arts Center at Luther High School, 18001 N Luther Road. Tickets are $10 and benefit the Luther Ministerial Alliance. The play is just one part of “A Christmas to Remember” weekend.
On Saturday, December 6, a “Christmas to Remember” Holiday Street Market will set up on Main Street, featuring vendors, food trucks, and activities all day, culminating in a Christmas tree lighting at 6 pm, followed by a Christmas parade. To participate in the parade, email Patrice Christy with your entry details.
The weekend concludes with a command performance of the play at 2 pm on Sunday.

Every Friday in December, downtown merchants will offer extended hours (and treats), from 5 – 7 pm, to give all of us a chance to shop local, especially if work keeps us away from downtown during their normal weekday hours.
