Going once, going twice, SOLD TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER.
The annual Luther FFA/4H fundraising dinner and auction is Monday night, January 16, 2017, at the Luther High School cafeteria. The famed chicken fried steak meal is at 6pm and the bidding starts at 7 pm on the donated auction items. This year the auction will also be in the cafeteria (not the auditorium across the parking lot).
Auctioneer Dennis Delano is lending his skills to get the highest bid on a number of items for this important fund-raiser for our town’s Agriculture students. Think those Thunder vs Laker tickets will go high? Other items for all size budgets include a custom metal bed frame, customized Yeti-style tumbler for Luther FFA, baskets for hog grooming and dog grooming, a wine rack and other beautiful hand-crafted items. And don’t forget the baked goods! This is the event where we buy our dessert, and are happy to do it. Check out the gallery here for the item or checkout the Facebook page of the Booster club.
This Trophy Auction is the main fundraiser for the Luther FFA and 4H Booster Club. The Booster Club is responsible for the local show and to assist with items needed by the FFA/4H that are not covered by the school. All money raised is kept by the booster club and does not go through the school.
Some say this event has been going on for almost 30 years, and it serves as a highlight for the community to support student’s and their projects, and to celebrate the agricultural way of life.
Still need a ticket? You can pay $10 at the door Monday night for the meal, and stay for the auction.
