Remembering Mr. Boydston

The Luther community lost one of its greats. Jacob Charles Boydston passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, mentor, friend and community stalwart. He was a man who will be missed by all those who knew him, and for those who didn’t know him, we wish we would have.

57fa8c6915600Visitation will be Monday from Noon to 8 pm at 105 S Main in Luther where there will be hugs and remembrances, and stories, some tears and perhaps some laughs of fond remembrances as friends and family will gather and lean on each other to honor Mr. Boydston.

His funeral will be Tuesday at 2 pm at the First Baptist Church where he has been a member since 1949.

  1. I’m so shocked & sad at Mr Boydston’s passing. He was such a sweet man. He was always smiling, such a good man. My heart goes out to Freda & her family. I pray that God covers them in the blood of the lamb, gives them His peace & comfort & takes away their pain. Freda I love you may God watch over you & console you. Marla Wigley-Gilberts

  2. Mr. Boydston will indeed be missed by many. He leaves a glowing legacy behind in the persons of his family. An outstanding person and friend to all who knew him.
