For the first time since his arrest three weeks ago, the attorneys in the case against former Luther Band Teacher Kyle Whitmus met today in Oklahoma County District Court.
Whitmus was arrested Feb. 2, 2016, on five counts of sexual misconduct with a child under the age of 14, according to the OSBI’s report, including one count of first degree rape. He resigned from his job with Luther schools last May after the allegations surfaced.
The attorneys will meet again April 18 for another hearing.
Whitmus pleaded not guilty and remains in jail on $200,000 bond. However, a bond reduction hearing is set for next week.
