Mary Alice Morphis, 78, of Luther, Oklahoma, passed from this life June 4, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born July 18, 1946, in Elwood, Indiana, to Cecil and Dorothy Hildreth. Mary married Nathan Morphis on August 17, 2002.
Mary was a very outgoing person. She loved to visit family and friends, sometimes driving long distances to see them. Mary would strike up a conversation with anyone and had a contagious laugh. She loved photography, canning, baking pies, and crocheting.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one son, Nathan Morphis, and one grandson, Daniel Burton. She is survived by her loving husband, Nate, at home and children, Wes Burton, Richard Burton and his wife, Tammie, Donna Ledford and her husband, Cougun, Russell Greenlee, Robert Morphis and Natalie Litchfield, 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, one sister, Jeanne Kelley, and her husband, Kevin, as well as a host of other family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at the Luther Community Center, 18120 Hogback Road, Luther, OK—arrangements provided by Boydston-Bailey Funeral Home.
