It’s that time of year when churches and the community offer opportunities to help with school supplies. The Luther Community Center and the Open Door Assembly of God both have huge Back To School events.
Luther Community Center – Aug 9
The Luther Community Service Center, a ministry of the Luther Church of Christ, is offering a Back-To-School Backpacks event for Luther students, grades 1 – 6, on August 9, from 6 – 7:30 pm.
Here’s how to get a backpack:
- Sign up in the Service Center, either on Monday from 10:00 – 11:30 am or Thursday from 6:00 – 7:30 pm.
- Students must be present to receive backpack on August 9, 6 – 7:30 pm.
- Students must have a note from school confirming enrollment from Luther Public Schools.
Open Door Assembly of God – Aug 5
Games, prizes and school supplies. Luther’s Open Door Assembly will offer its annual Back 2 School on Sunday, August 5, 5 – 8 pm.
