Luther Pecan Festival Features Sunday Car Show on Nov 9

The Luther Pecan Festival has partnered with 405 Goons to host Pistons and Pecans, a car, truck, and bike show, on the second day of the festival, Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the Orchard on 66 (Couch Pecans). This marks the final event of the year for 405 Goons, known for drawing more than a thousand spectators to admire a full lineup of vehicles.

Set against the scenic orchard facing Route 66—just steps from the new Visit Luther sign—the show welcomes entries from pre-1950 classics to 2000s models. The Luther Pecan Festival featured a car show in its debut year of 2017 and sporadically since, but space constraints limited growth. Now that the festival is expanding to a second venue at the Orchard on 66, organizers are excited to revive the tradition in partnership with 405 Goons.

It will be a highlight of the second day of the festival, which begins on Saturday, November 8. Enjoy shopping with 100 vendors, a variety of delicious cuisine, pecan sales, plus pecan pies and treats, along with live music, activities, and the Sunday car show.

The Pistons and Pecans show will award 27 trophies across the following categories:

  • Best of All Classes (Cars and Trucks) – 18 trophies
  • Lowest of All
  • Tallest of All
  • Special Interest
  • Best Bike
  • Best Exotic
  • Honorable Mention (2 trophies)
  • Best of Show

To register for Pistons and Pecans, visit the 405 Goons event page.

Car show and festival hours on Sunday, Nov. 9, are 10 am – 4 pm.
Saturday festival hours are 10 am – 5 pm.

The Orchard on 66 will feature vendors, food trucks, a children’s entrepreneur market, petting zoo, horse rides, yard games, and live music both days of the festival, with the Pistons and Pecans Car Show on day two.. A free shuttle, funded by a grant from the Central Community Foundation, will run continuously between the orchard and downtown Luther, ensuring easy access to both venues. Parking is available at both locations, with clear shuttle pickup points at the orchard and downtown festival hub.

Join us for horsepower, pecans, shopping, and small-town fun at the Luther Pecan Festival.
