Luther, OK – This month’s Luther Third Saturday Market features animal therapy and donations to support flood victims in the Texas Hill Country. The event is on Saturday, July 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Luther, Oklahoma. Follow Route 66 to the new VISIT LUTHER sign, leading to Main Street, where shops and vendors will welcome you with deals, friendliness and animal cuddles.
“We are offering animal cuddles in exchange for donations to help the flood victims of Kerr County, Texas,” said SAGA Nature Academy founder Olivia Richardson. She said the donations will be in honor of the Burgess family, who lost their lives on July 4th picking up their daughter from Camp Longhorn.
In addition to the animal snuggles, explore unique gifts, foods, and art from local vendors. Look for the colorful tents in the “pocket park” on Main Street.

This event, organized by the Luther Business Alliance, boosts the local economy and previews Luther’s role in the 2026 Route 66 centennial. “It’s everything that makes Luther special—great people, shopping, and music without the city rush,” said Cindy Harris, market organizer and owner of CD Harris Designs on Main. Having Saga Nature Academy join the market this month makes it even more special and offers a small way to give back.
