SUMMARY:Soap Box Derby
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wanted to be in a Soap Box Derby? Now is your chance. On Saturday\, May 31st\, the team members of the Luther Fire Department\, along with Opus Entertainment’s assistance\, will host the 3rd Annual Soap Box Derby on Main Street in downtown Luther. There is no cost to enter your Soap Box Car or to attend this event. We encourage every business\, athletic team\, and anyone who has a creative mind to build a car and enter it in this year’s Soap Box Derby. \nWe will have 3 categories: CHILD RACE / ADULT RACE / DOUBLES (doubles are our 2-seater and sidecar races). Official rules and participation forms can be found posted on our Facebook Event and at the Luther Town Hall. You may also request your forms by emailing your info to djbookingokc@gmail.com with “DERBY” in the subject line. Always visit our Facebook Event for all the latest details. \nWe will have music\, food as well as numerous games and activities. Visit one of our many vendors set up including some of your favorite food trucks… We will take donations throughout the event to benefit the Luther Fire Department. 100% of all money raised will be donated to the LFD. \nThe event will kick off around 3 PM with the race starting at 5 PM sharp. Vendor row will be open throughout the entire event as well as games for the whole family. Following the races at 5 PM there will be a “Show & Shine” event near vendor row (see event map) about 7pm.
