Happy Birthday Chicken Shack

It’s been two trips through the calendar for Luther’s Chicken Shack. The chicken joint on Route 66 west of Luther Road is celebrating big this Saturday, with live music, great food, games and chill time at the venue’s backyard along the Deep Fork River. The anniversary menu will feature shrimp, crawfish and, of course,  chicken.

Luther T-Shirt Design Contest

We like to “get the t-shirt” to commemorate a trip, event or activity. But the artists among us might like to “make the t-shirt!” The Luther Parks Commission is giving designers among us a chance to have our artwork on a commemorative t-shirt to celebrate Luther and the 2018 Oklahoma Freewheel.  Submissions will be accepted through Monday, April

Dulcimer featured at Round Barn Morning Music

Detour to improve RR safety.

Word from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. Work began Tuesday at the railroad crossing on Ash/Luther Road causing a temporary detour until the Work is complete. This project is part of the Railroad Crossing Safety Fund and was awarded by the Oklahoma Transportation Commission in May 2017. The project includes the installation of pedestal-mounted flashing

Fundraising for Prom

With Luther schools being out for seven days, the Luther High School prom committee lost time to finish fundraising and selling tickets. Classes resumed Wednesday and the junior prom committee is working fast to put the finishing touches on what promises to be a wonderful event. The big night is just about a week away
