The Town Meeting and a Meet & Greet

It’s the morning after the Luther Town Board meeting for September.

No story. Yet.

The Town Meetings are broadcast on Periscope.

There’s plenty to write about. The Periscope broadcast is being transcribed to aid in attributing quotes. There were up to 126 viewers of the meeting, and is recorded for anyone to view.

Meantime, The Luther Business Meet & Greet is tonight at 5 – 6:30 pm at The 116 Market downtown. Local businesses, those who support local businesses – including Town Leaders – (in other words, all of us) are invited to attend. It will be an informal networking opportunity to meet each other, swap ideas and plan for Luther’s business future. (And taste some of The 116’s delightful baked goods and treats). Our first Meet & Greet at Josephine’s Cafe in August was attended by more than 40 neighbors (and was awesome!). See you then, and look for the Town meeting story as soon as we can.

Town Attorney Ray Vincent was consulted throughout the meeting.

Trustees Ron Henry, Andy McDaniels, Mayor Cecelia Taft, Carolyn Lawson

About Luther Register

Dawn Shelton and her family moved to rural Luther in 2010 after years of living near downtown OKC. Her professional background is in media, public relations, writing and even managing a winery and event venue down the road. Her dream of launching an online news service for Luther came true in November 2015 through humbling and encouraging support from friends and neighbors. THANK YOU.
